Wonkeeland Service Agreement

Throughout this agreement, the terms “the Company,” “Wonkeeland,” “Wonkeeland Appliance Repair,” and “Wonkeeland Appliance Repair LLC” each refer to the same legal entity that provides appliance repair services, and “the Customer” refers to the individual or entity receiving those services.

By scheduling service with the Company or allowing a technician to begin work, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to all terms and conditions contained in this agreement.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of service unless prior arrangements have been made.

The Customer agrees to pay, where applicable:

  • Any unpaid balance upon completion

  • Interest at a rate of 24% APR on past-due balances

  • A $30 fee for any returned or declined payment

  • Any applicable cancellation, handling, or return charges

  • All collection costs, including reasonable attorney’s fees

Cancellation of Service

When scheduling service with the Company, time is reserved in a technician’s day to travel to the Customer’s location and service the appliance. If an appointment is forgotten, canceled, or changed without sufficient notice, the Company loses the opportunity to fill that time and other clients lose the opportunity to receive service.

The Company reserves the right to charge an amount equal to 100% of the service call fee for any appointment missed, canceled, or changed without at least 8 business hours’ notice, unless otherwise mutually agreed.

Right to Decline Repair

The Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine that an appliance is non-repairable due to factors including, but not limited to, appliance age, lack of available replacement parts, excessive damage, safety concerns, or repair cost exceeding a reasonable percentage of replacement cost.

If an appliance is deemed non-repairable, the Customer is responsible only for the Service Call or Diagnostic Fee. The Company assumes no responsibility for disposal or replacement of any non-repairable appliance.

Damage Waivers

The Customer is responsible for familiarizing themselves with the waivers that apply to the services provided by the Company. These waivers apply to all work performed and are accepted once the Customer allows the technician to begin service.

Waiver of Damages When Moving Appliance

The Customer understands there is inherent risk in moving an appliance, including risk of damage to the appliance itself and to surrounding areas, including but not limited to flooring, cabinetry, and countertops. The Customer acknowledges the technician is not required to move the appliance. In exchange for the technician’s willingness to do so, the Customer agrees to hold harmless Wonkeeland Appliance Repair LLC and its technician from any and all liability associated with any such damage occurring in connection with that movement.

Waiver of Damages When Working with Water

The Customer understands that appliances connected to a building’s plumbing system carry an inherent risk that component failure, imperfect connections, or other faults could result in unintended leakage or flooding, causing substantial damage. Except in cases of gross, clearly proven, and explicitly identifiable carelessness by the technician, the Customer agrees to hold harmless Wonkeeland Appliance Repair LLC, its principals, agents, and employees from any and all damages, harms, or liability resulting from such an occurrence. By allowing the technician to commence work, the Customer explicitly waives any contrary claim.

Waiver of Damages from Failed Cooling

The Customer understands that refrigeration equipment consists of many complex components, any of which may fail without warning, and that service or repair carries inherent risk. Diagnoses are not always straightforward, and even carefully performed service may involve imperfections or later failures that prevent the appliance from performing as intended.

Such failures may lead to food spoilage, discomfort, inconvenience, and, particularly in commercial settings, loss of revenue. The Customer acknowledges that by undertaking service or repair, Wonkeeland Appliance Repair LLC does not assume responsibility for these risks. The Customer agrees that all such risks remain solely their own and agrees to hold harmless Wonkeeland Appliance Repair LLC, its agents, and employees from any and all such harms.

Waiver of Damages When Lifting Glass Cook Top

The Customer understands that lifting a glass or ceramic cooktop surface to access components below involves an inherent risk of breakage. Because such tops are often secured with strong adhesive, separation may not be possible without fracturing the surface.

While the technician is expected to exercise due care, the Customer acknowledges that Wonkeeland Appliance Repair LLC and its technician do not accept responsibility for this risk. The Customer agrees that this risk is solely their own and agrees to hold harmless Wonkeeland Appliance Repair LLC, its agents, and employees from any resulting liability.

Installation and Site Condition Limitations

Wonkeeland Appliance Repair LLC does not install, modify, or correct problems with services necessary to facilitate appliance installation, including but not limited to electrical supply, water supply, water drainage, gas supply, dryer venting, or ventilation systems needed for safe or proper operation.

The Company assumes that the area, systems, and services provided to accommodate the appliance have already been prepared in conformity with the appliance’s requirements and all applicable codes and regulations. The Company does not verify whether ventilation, electrical supply, water supply, or drainage requirements have been properly met.

Charges quoted do not include the cost of materials such as vent hoses, water lines, gas lines, hoses, fittings, or similar items unless specifically stated otherwise.

Where two technicians are required to diagnose or service an appliance, including but not limited to stacked washer and dryer units or wall ovens, an additional service charge will apply beyond the standard repair charge.

If the Company arrives to perform service and the repair cannot proceed, and cannot be corrected while on site, because required site conditions have not been met, the standard service call fee will still be due.

Diagnostic Limitations

The Company’s diagnosis is based on the technician’s observations and testing at the time of the service call. Because modern appliance electronics are complex and some failures are intermittent, a diagnosis identifies the most likely immediate fault at that time.

The Customer understands and agrees that one component failure may trigger subsequent or related failures. The Company is not liable for secondary failures or the need for later repairs that become apparent after the initial repair is completed. The diagnostic fee is non-refundable and covers the time and expertise used to identify the initial fault.

1-Year Warranty

Wonkeeland Appliance Repair LLC provides a 1-year warranty on repairs only where diagnostic, parts and labor are all three supplied by the Company. This warranty does not cover any part or labor associated with customer-supplied parts.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, abuse, or external factors beyond the Company’s control. There is no warranty on expendable or consumable items such as filters, light bulbs, or fuses. This warranty applies only to the specific appliance repaired for the original Customer and is non-transferable.

Warranty Terms and Conditions

Warranty Coverage

Wonkeeland Appliance Repair LLC offers a 1-year warranty on parts and labor for repairs performed by its technicians. This warranty covers only the specific parts replaced and the labor directly associated with that repair.

Warranty Period

The warranty period begins on the date the repair service is completed and extends for 1 year from that date. Any claim under this warranty must be made within that warranty period.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:
a. Customer-supplied parts. If the Customer provides their own parts, the Company will not cover the part or the labor associated with it under this warranty.
b. Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage.
c. Damage resulting from improper use, negligence, accidents, unauthorized repairs, or modifications.
d. Appliances that have been moved or relocated after the initial repair.
e. Consumable parts such as filters, bulbs, or fuses, and any parts requiring replacement due to normal wear and tear.
f. Any costs associated with diagnosing issues unrelated to the original repair.
g. Sealed System Labor Limit: Labor associated with sealed system repairs, including but not limited to compressor replacement, brazing, evacuation, and charging, is warranted against defects in workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of service. This limited labor warranty supersedes the general 1-year labor warranty for sealed system repairs only.
h. Pre-Existing System Integrity: This warranty does not cover failures caused by internal blockages, restrictions, or new refrigerant leaks that develop in original, unreplaced factory components or tubing, including evaporator coils, condenser tubing, or capillary tubes. Such failures arising after an initially successful repair are considered the result of appliance age and existing system degradation and are not covered. Coverage is strictly limited to the new parts installed and the integrity of the brazing points made by the Company’s technician.

Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim, the Customer must contact the Company within the applicable warranty period and provide a detailed description of the issue along with the original service invoice as proof of repair. The Company will then schedule a service appointment to assess the issue and determine whether it is covered.

Warranty Service

If a warranty claim is determined to be valid, the Company will repair or replace the faulty part or parts, at its discretion, without additional charge for covered parts or labor. The Company reserves the right to use new or refurbished parts for warranty repairs.

LG Linear Compressors

Due to the known high failure rate of LG linear compressors, all compressor replacements for LG brand refrigerators are excluded from warranty coverage. This exclusion applies specifically to the replacement of the linear compressor itself and does not affect any other otherwise applicable warranty covering different parts or services provided by the Company.

By proceeding with a compressor replacement on an LG refrigerator, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to this specific exclusion of warranty coverage.

No Additional Warranties

This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. No other written or oral warranties or guarantees will be honored beyond the terms expressly stated in this agreement.

Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall the Company be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to lost profits, loss of use, food loss, inconvenience, or any other losses arising out of or related to the appliance repair services provided. The Company’s total liability for any warranty claim shall not exceed the original cost of the repair service.

Non-Transferability

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original Customer who received the repair service. It does not extend to any later owner or user of the appliance.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This agreement and warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which the repair service was performed. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this agreement or warranty shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that state.

Amendments

The Company reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will apply only to repairs performed after the effective date of the revised terms.

By accepting appliance repair service from Wonkeeland Appliance Repair LLC (also referred to as “Wonkeeland” or “Wonkeeland Appliance Repair”), the Customer acknowledges and agrees to all terms and conditions contained in this agreement.
